This alternative film poster for Requiem for a Dream was created using both manual and digital glitching techniques. In order to represent the infinitely damaging, anxiety-inducing, but inescapable loop of addiction depicted by the film, the poster displays morphed stills that went through cyclically repeated distortions using photo editing, printing and scanning. The result is a noisy and asymmetrical image, that gives not only distressed, but also distressing effect.
